Danae Koolen, M.T.O.M., L.Ac., HHP., is the Owner and Director of Peak Performance.

Danae, a native to Ocean Beach, opened Peak Performance Holistic Therapies in 1992. She began her career upon earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sports Medicine. She worked in a training room for three years preparing athletes for events and rehabilitation.

Since 1991 she has been practicing as a Holistic Health Practitioner and holds a National Certification in Massage Therapy. She specializes in deep tissue, trigger point and therapuetic massage. Danae received a Masters Degree in Traditional Chinese and Herbal Medicine. She continues her studies observing in an acupuncture sports medicine clinic which treats many professional athletes. Danae treats a wide variety of disorders. Her emphasis is in pain relief and structural imbalances by a unique blend of sports, Traditional Chinese Medicine and massage therapy.
